Kitchen Textile Collection by Mariette Wolbert Textiles
Mariëtte Wolbert has years of experience in textile design and has specialized particularly in home textiles. One could rightly call her the queen of kitchen sets. Her designs have a recognizable signature and are now world-famous. She describes her designs herself using the 5 Ls (Delicious, Light, Logical, Luxurious, and with a Smile).
Thanks to their color scheme and material, the kitchen sets have a robust yet warm appearance. They are made of 100% cotton and are carefully produced in Portugal: exactly the amount of yarn needed for an order is dyed, and no remnants are left over during weaving. Furthermore, the company complies with the strictest ecological textile certification, GOTS.

Lazy Lobster
A bright orange lobster in a 17th-century still life—what a striking image! Because Mariëtte had also seen an impressive mass of starfish washed up on the beach, the "Lazy lobster with sparkling starfish" set was an almost inevitable design. Made in Portugal Tea towel: 65 x 65 cm. 100% cotton. Kitchen towel: 60 x 60 cm. 100% cotton.

Bella Salmonella | petrol
In a TV commercial from the Ministry of Health, the advice was given to use a clean tea towel/dishcloth every day. This prompted Mariëtte to research bacteria in the kitchen. She has incorporated some of these bacteria into her design. Thanks to their color scheme, the kitchen sets have a rugged, warm appearance. They are made of 100% cotton and produced in Portugal. Koraal
In the design of the kitchen set Coral, Mariëtte used the fan shape of the 'acabaria splendens', a soft coral species. The circles in the canvases are the larvae that swirl to find a place further down. In the edge she has applied the 'brain coral’. They are made of 100% cotton and produced in Portugal. Baan-Brekend
‘Baan-Brekend' Here “the Amsterdam School” style of Architecture is the inspiration, which resulted in a graphic, abstract kitchen set. This design has been purchased by various museums. Soft Square
This kitchen towel is inspired by the painting “Huis ten Bosch” by the artist Ten Compe (1750). The design is an abstract graphic version of the painting. The clothing of the people, the colors in the sky and of the building are incorporated in the translation to weaving these kitchen towels. La Bomba Tulipa | blue
The tulips almost explode from the cotton: special tulips but also leaves and stems are incorporated in the design, inspired by the floral still-lifes of the most famous female painter from the Baroque, Rachel Ruysch. Because of the color schemes and the material, the kitchen sets have a tough yet warm look. They are manufactured in Europe and are made from 100% cotton.
