Alpaca wool throw, purple. Alpaca wool is one of the best natural wool types. The fibers of alpaca wool are incredibly soft and superfine (approx. 22-28 microns), comparable to cashmere wool. Due to the superfine fibers, alpaca throws itch much less on bare skin than wool from other animal species. The wool is also thermally warm. This means that it has a cooling effect in the summer and feels pleasantly warm in the winter. Additionally, alpaca wool is stronger than regular wool; it wears out less quickly and sheds less. Composition: 50% Alpaca wool 35% Wool 15% Synthetic. Synthetic material has been added to these throws to prevent the wool from felting. It also keeps the throws flexible and gives them a slight stretch.
