Around sunset, I wandered through a quiet village in India. Buffaloes kicked up dust as they returned home, women cooked over open fires, and children laughed in the streets.

Three women, curious and kind, smiled and invited me in for chai. Inside, they removed their scarves—it was just us women. We sat together, sipping tea and sharing stories in a mix of English and gestures.

I made a few sketches to capture the moment. Later, I created Rising Sun—a tribute to that warm, unforgettable encounter and the quiet beauty of everyday life.
