About us
tinystories is an art brand founded by Dutch artist Tiny de Vries.
At the core of the brand is a simple belief: stories spark creativity. The collection — fine art prints, art cards, large-format wall hangings, and notebooks — is designed to bring that belief into people's homes and lives. All products are produced in the Netherlands on eco-friendly paper or fabric, available with or without a solid-wood frame.
Tiny graduated from the University of the Arts in Utrecht and deepened her practice through extended study in Indonesia, where immersion in local art and culture shaped her distinctive visual language. Her work — painted with natural ink, watercolour, and acrylic on materials such as old paper and antique French linen — spans portraits, landscapes, abstract works, and botanicals, ranging from soft and dreamy to bold and colourful. Each piece carries a quiet emotional depth that resonates strongly with end consumers, often accompanied by a poem written by the artist herself.

Around sunset, I wandered through a quiet village in India. Buffaloes kicked up dust as they returned home, women cooked over open fires, and children laughed in the streets. Three women, curious and kind, smiled and invited me in for chai. Inside, they removed their scarves—it was just us women. We sat together, sipping tea and sharing stories in a mix of English and gestures. I made a few sketches to capture the moment.
