Collection Tulpenvelden Sietse Wiersma

As a farmer’s son, Sietse (1950) developed a great love for the rural environment in which he grew up. This is often reflected in his portfolio of realistic paintings. Landscapes or still-lifes, Sietse presents his themes in an recognizable and quirky way. As a self-taught artist Sietse was able to focus full-time on his artist life since the year of 1985. His typically Dutch work finds its way across many borders, from Asia to Middle East and North America. Since 1982 Sietse lives and works in Oudkarspel in North Holland. His studio/gallery can be visited by appointment.
