Back in 1998, Charlotte and Philippe Guéniau were living a busy life in Paris. They had good jobs and a good life – but something was missing. What if we could bring more color into everyday life? Not just through art or wall paint, but through the things we use every single day. Among them was a raffia bag from Madagascar – the very same kind we're still making today.​​ ​ The bags were a hit, and orders poured in. So many, in fact, that they had to start rationing. Encouraged by the response, Charlotte and Philippe quickly expanded their selection – always with color, playfulness, and practicality in mind.​​ ​ And that’s how rice began – with a desire to make everyday life more joyful.​​ Designing a life filled with everyday magic​​.
